Description

Outdoor laser distance measuring made easy

With the digital on screen Pointfinder the Leica DISTO D5 R makes measuring outside, even in bright sunshine and at very long distances, easy. Both the target and the measurement results can be seen very clearly on the large IPS display(iPhone quality). Avoid moving the device for accuracy when measuring using the new Gesture measure feature, move hand across laser beam and measurement is triggered…. How cool is that!

So many features to help with all manner of measuring applications, Smart Horizontal Mode, height tracking, profile or angle measurements. This means that any measurement situation on the construction site can be solved quickly and efficiently.

For vertical height measuring between 2 points mount the laser into the FTA360 Cradle Adapter and screw onto the tripod. The height tracking mode uses a digital angle tilt sensor to calculate the vertical height through rotation. The first measurement zeros the angle tilt sensor and then calculates height when you tilt the laser in the cradle upwards. Using the camera align the cross hair on the screen as a target to the desired height and a vertical measurement is calculated from the first measurement you took.

Measured data can then be Blue-toothed to the DISTO Plan app or individual templates, e.g. in Excel, email or any application to support an efficient and error-free digital workflow.

It’s important to note that the FTA360 cradle does not contain electronic encoders. Because of this, the D5R Pro Package cannot perform Point‑to‑Point (P2P) measurements left‑to‑right from a fixed position.

If you need to measure between points horizontally (left to right), you will require one of the following:

DST360 with a DISTO X3 for internal surveys
DST360‑X with a DISTO X6 for external surveys

The DST360 Cradles include the encoder technology needed to achieve true P2P measurements from a single setup position.

Measure with a gesture

No need to touch the DISTO: Carefully place the laser dot or crosshairs of the Pointfinder Camera on target & simply wave a hand in front of the device to briefly interrupt the beam. When the DISTO senses this pulse, it triggers the measurement.

Multi-functional endpiece

The Multi-functional endpiece folds out from the back of the DISTO and automatically sets the measuring point to either the rear of the DISTO or the tip of the extended endpiece.

Bluetooth Keyboard Mode

In this mode, your device sees the DISTO as a Bluetooth® keyboard. Press send to deliver measured values to the cursor in any program.

How to use the digital pointfinder

Indoors or generally in favourable lighting conditions, the red laser dot is very clearly visible so that the object can be easily targeted. In bright outdoor areas, however, or even in bright sunlight, the laser dot is no longer visible. The laser distance meter can still measure without any problems. To aim, however, you now need the Pointfinder – a camera that shows you the target exactly in the crosshairs on the display.

Orders for goods which are shown on the web site with 'next day' delivery and that are received before 4.00pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day, subject to the goods being in stock.

Royal Mail First Class Post may be used for some deliveries of smaller or lower value items, and although over 90% of first class deliveries arrive next day, where Royal Mail is used we can not guarantee next day receipt. All delivery prices and lead times quoted on the web site are for mainland UK only and when delivered between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Extra charges will apply for premium deliveries. Orders which include several products with varying lead times will be dispatched when all parts of the order are in stock unless otherwise arranged.
