The Leica DISTO ™ D5 - Colour Video Pointfinder with 4x zoom
Outside measuring is no problem with the new digital point finder. The new Leica DISTO ™ D5 comes equiped with a Digital Pointfinder that works similar to a viewing screen on a digital camera. The target measuring point is highlighted in the central square even when the laser dot is no longer visible with the naked eye. The DISTO ™ D5 has a clear 2.4" high resolution colour display with automatic brightness control and also has up to 4x zoom magnification to increase the accuracy of your measurements even over great distances. Tilt sensor / Digital Level on the DISTO ™ D5
The accurate integrated digital tilt / incline sensor offers both angle measurements from the horizontal in percentages and degrees clearly on the screen, but it is also used to increase the accuracy of your measuring. True horizontal distances can be calculated using the Leica DISTO ™ D5 Pythagoras functions automatically and is particularly useful when a direct line of sight measurement is not possible. This function is useful if, for example, rough terrain, walls or hedges stand in the line of sight. (Call 08452 57218 for further technical advice).
Improved Accuracy and Range of the Leica DISTO ™ D5
The Leica DISTO ™ D5 features the latest in laser measuring technology from Leica the inventors of the laser measuring device. The Leica DISTO ™ D8 utilises the new Leica Power range technology and has the additional Leica Long Range mode for measuring those far off targets.

Despite all this functionality, the Leica DISTO ™ D5 is simple to operate, thanks to its new easy to use, menu driven colour user interface. It is also extremely easy to handle; it fits conveniently into any pocket. The rubberised case and robust design both internally and externally with IP 54 protection keeps the instrument safe when dropped or splashed with water and dust when on site.
