The new Leica DISTO A2 takes over the reins from the tape for indoor measuring.

Leica Geosystems are the pioneers of hand held laser measuring technology. Over the years their Leica DISTO product range, has enabled more than three quarters of a million professionals worldwide, to easily, quickly and accurately measure internal and external distances. The latest edition to the family is the Leica DISTO A2.

This model is designed specifically to tackle all those indoor measuring scenarios that professionals and semi-professionals alike face on an ongoing basis. Those market segments already benefiting from using the Leica DISTO A2 include real estate, flooring, interior design, cleaning and architectural.

The Leica DISTO A2 fits easily into any pocket and has direct keys for addition and subtraction, as well as for the calculation of areas and volumes. The measurement range is from 5cm to 60metres and it has an accuracy of +/- 1.5 mm. The new staking out function supports the measuring of constant distances. Intuitive operation and ease of use facilitate the entry in the new laser era. It is powered by a 9v compound battery, giving up to 5,000 measurements and comes with a 3 year warranty.

With this latest addition to the Leica DISTO family, the days of needing to carry the trusty tape measure are over and the age of the hand held laser measurer has begun.
